Youth town

Last term Room 19 had been going to youth town every Tuesday.

Youth town is a sports program that come to your school and teach you new sport and games that you may have not heard or played before. We played sport like basketball and hockey and we played games similar golden child.

Walt : Identify what humans need to survive.

In room 19 we have been researching the basic needs that humans need for survival.  We used websites to find this information and then we created an imovie to explain this information to the class.

I was able to find the important ideas about the 5 basic needs that we need to survive.I was also able to write the important facts/ideas in my own words so that I could understand what I was writing.

In my group I think I co-operated really well so that everyone had a chance speaking and sharing.Next time i need to make sure that we are organized because we took quiet along time to finish.

WALT :  create a piece of zentangle art using different patterns and using analogous colours.

I was able to use analogous colours. 

My next step is to think of more patterns so I don't keep on repeating the same patterns.

Room 6 Buddy Class

   

Room 6 is our buddy class for 2016.  Every week we have been meeting our buddies and have shared stories with them, had a shared lunch under the tree and we found out some secret information about them and designed some bookmarks to give them.

I really enjoy visiting my buddy because she's super kind.

I was was learning to make a collage in 3D.I found this hard because I didn't know what picture to put in.I wasn't really aming to make the picture look real,I just put a bunch of flower picture in.My next step is to make it look real.

last week for swimming the sharks were learning how to do free style.

The hardest thing for me was breathing because I kept rolling my head to far back.

My next step is to learn how to breath while swimming properly.

I was learning how to make a collage.  I found it hard to paint with the water paint because i would put to much water  and the paint will go every were. my favorite thing was tracing around the picture. what you did was you find the picture that you want and get your carving paper and put it on your piece of paper  you get the picture you chose and a pencil and then trace around the picture.  I really liked this type of art work because you could use different type of art things you don't only have to use paper and paint you can use heaps of other things like newspaper,fluff and much more things.  I'm looking ford to go back to Te-tuhi and do more crafty stuff.

Last week we went to do sports with youth town. We played capture the flag.  I was in no bibs team. And obiviously no bibs won we won every singel round.
